On the 5th Eid al-Adha – marking the end of the Hajj pilgrimage – following the Syrian revolution, opposition fighters began distributing sweets and pastries amongst the children and other residents in areas under their control on Thursday, Al Arabiya TV reported.
These are efforts aimed at returning hope to the people. Some of the children went to various police stations and medical centers to express their best wishes and wish them a happy new year after Eid al-Adha.
