Armed tribes in Iraq
Fifty Maliki troops were killed in clashes around the government complex in the restive city of Ramadi in Iraq’s Anbar Province, Al Jazeera TV reported.
Armed tribes on Thursday seized this government complex, including the buildings of the governor’s office, provincial council, police and other state offices in Ramadi after heavy clashes with Maliki’s military forces. Dozens of Maliki troops were killed and injured in these battles.
