The second gathering of the Union of Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs Councils, 300 tribal sheikhs, including chieftains and prominent tribal personalities from all over Iraq, condemned the criminal act of explosion of the Ashraf City water pumping station which provided water for 20,000 surrounding villagers as a war crime and emphasized their solidarity with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and eviction of the Iranian regime’s agents from Iraq.
The gathering started with the speech of Sheikh Mutlaq Abde Rashid al-Darab, chieftain of al-Izza tribe in Salahaddin, who said: As you know the Diyala water pumping station was exploded by the Iranian regime; we ask you, the nationalist Iraqi tribes from north to the south, to stand and expel all the forces of the regime ruling Iran from our country; we ask you the Iraqi honest people to insist on early elections. We also condemn Ahmadinejad’s trip to Iraq.
Then Mr. Abbas Davari, chairman of the Labor Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) delivered his speech. He referred to the progress of the Iraqi nationalist currents and Iraqi tribal sheikhs in eviction of the mullahs’ regime from Iraq, and said: Explosion of the Ashraf City water pumping station indicates that mullahs’ regime faces its worst ever situation.
Then a number of speakers including Sheikh Kamel Mahmoud Khudhair, chieftain of Albumahmoud tribe, Abdulhamza Jassim Kadhim, representative of the National Dialogue Front in Babel province, Fadhil Najm, Ashraf City neighbor from Nai village, Sheikh Khalil Ibrahim Ali from Hamrain, Sheikh Khalil Hassan Hanoush from al-Anbar Tribal Sheikhs Council and Yousef Bardelian, Secretary General of the Christian Democratic Current delivered speeches and condemned the explosion of Ashraf City water pumping station by the Qods Force and asked for eviction of the Iranian regime from Iraq and holding early elections in Iraq.
The final declaration of the gathering was read by Sheikh Khalil al-Bayati, which reads: After investigating recent incidents, we came up with the conclusion that all these crimes, particularly the recent terrorist crime, have been carried out by the Iranian embassy in Baghdad and are planned by Kazemi Qomi, Iranian regime’s ambassador to Iraq, and in coordination with the Qods Force mercenaries who were dispatched from abroad, like Massoud Khodabandeh and Mostafa Mohammadi, and the local mercenaries .
