23 regime members killed in Mountain Qasioun explosions

Orient Net, JAN 5, 2018— Orient News correspondent in Rural Damascus reported Friday that around 23 regime members, including a colonel, a lieutenant and a military assistant, were killed from the huge explosions in regime’s military post on Damascus’ Qasioun Mountain.

Leaks from regime’s Tishereen military hospital said that 3 (2S1 Gvozdika) guns were also destroyed, according to our correspondent.

Activists published a video showing fire raging in a regime’s military post on the peak of Damascus’ Qasioun Mountain.
Our correspondent said the fire is due to explosions in an ammunition depot inside the artillery battalion (that targets towns and villages of besieged eastern Ghouta). Reasons behind explosions are still unknown yet.

The pro-regime Facebook page “Syria Hashtag” said the explosions were due a technical failure.

Israel has targeted military posts of Assad regime and Iranian militias in Jamraya town in western Rural Damascus.

Close to the explosion area lies the HIAST Campus (behind Qasioun mountain), which is considered one of the most important regime’s weapon manufacturing places, including chemical weapons.
