
The Iranians held demonstrations against Ashraf siege in Ottawa, London and Washington in front of the Iraqi embassies to condemned heightening of Ashraf siege and sudden intrusion of Iraqi police into Ashraf. The demonstrators underscored their resolve until Ashraf siege is lifted and Ashraf residents’ rights are guaranteed.
In Canada, demonstrators chanted slogans condemning plots of the clerical regime and its agents in Iraq against Ashraf residents in front of the Iraqi embassy in Ottawa and asked the Iraqi government to acknowledge Ashraf residents’ legal rights.
In his speech, one of the sympathizers of the Iranian Resistance, said: “Undoubtedly, our Iraqi sisters and brothers are frustrated of the clerical regime’s atrocities and its meddling in Iraqi affairs. 35 Iraqi MPs have rightfully pointed out that implementation of the European Parliament resolution on Ashraf is an international and humanitarian benchmark”.
In England, demonstration of Iranians and families of Ashraf residents was held in front of the Iraqi embassy in London. In this gathering the statements of political and human rights entities and personalities in defense of Ashraf were read out.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against Ashraf siege and implementation of the dictated conspiracies by the clerical regime, and asked for ending limitations and pressures against Ashraf residents,
In Washington, supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in front of the Iraqi embassy and asked for ending Ashraf siege and respecting international guaranties regarding Ashraf residents. The participants protested against the Iraqi police force’s intrusion into Ashraf and while chanting slogans and carrying placards asked the Iraqi government to recognize the protected status of Ashraf residents under the Fourth Geneva Convention.
The Iranians also held their 125th day of demonstration outside the White House
They emphasized that based on the international law the responsibility of protection and guarantee of Ashraf residents is entrusted by the US government, they asked the US President to intervene personally and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.
