
Washington, March 9, 2018 – The US Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Soona Samsami, called on the Government of the United States to blacklist Iranian regime’s officials involved in human rights violations.
Ms. Samsami says that since the beginning of the uprising in Iran on December 28, 2017, more than 8,000 protesters were arrested and over 50 killed, including at least 14 death in custody under torture.
The officials responsible for the current atrocities have a long history of human rights violations, including the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners, mostly members of the main Iranian opposition movement, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/PMOI).
