The United States removed the opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran from its terrorist organizations black list. The US State Department said Secretary Hillary Clinton decided, according to the law, to remove the PMOI and its affiliates from the List of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. This decision confirmed the nearly finalized evacuation of Camp Ashraf. This Iranian opposition organization had this camp at its disposal for years, and the UN and US had requested its evacuation.
