In an interview with International Reporter, Italy, September 12, 2009 on Camp Ashraf, Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Lead Man God Believers ( Divine, Social & World Peace Mission) , said: “President Obama wants to hold talks with Iran at any cost since the previous experience of the United States with North Korea has been bitter and he wants to improve the political strategy both with Iran and North Korea. And it is a good sign and an important step by President Obama to hold talks with Iran with five emissaries, which he thinks is vital and significant before planning any sort of sanction against Iran. The talks are likely to be fruitful.”
Dr. Raj Baldev added: “It is hard for me to say good wishes to both US and Iran on the proposed talks, since my organization and I are disturbed on the issue of Irani people in Ashraf Camp in Iraq, they are being forcefully taken from away from the camp by the Iraqi forces and in attacks 11 residents were killed and around 500 wounded and this is happening under the right nose of US forces and it is a gross violation of human rights.”
Q: Dr. Raj Baldev, what would you like to say further about residents of Ashraf Camp?
Dr. Raj Baldev: I am deeply disturbed that following unprovoked attacks by Iraqi army and police against unarmed, defenseless residents of Ashraf Camp Iraq on 28 & 29 July 2009, 36 of the residents were forcefully taken away from the camp by the Iraqi forces. The attacks have so far left 11 residents killed by gun shots and 500 injured.
I on behalf of God Believers (Divine, Social & World Peace Mission) formerly NIA and on behalf of myself, reject and condemn using force and violence against residents of Ashraf Camp in Iraq where 3400 (1000 women) members of the Peoples Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), opposition to the Iranian regime, are residing.
Despite the ruling of an Iraqi court on August 25 in the town of Khalis ordering the release of the hostages which Iraqi media also reported on the same day, the Prime Minister’s office in Baghdad, at the behest of the Iranian regime, obstructed their release.
God Believers, (Divine, Social & World Peace Mission) formerly NIA feel gravely concerned at the conditions of the 36 Ashraf residents who are in their second month of hunger strike to protest their inhumane captivity. We hold the government of Iraq responsible should anything happen to those people.
I on my behalf and on behalf of my organization urge President Obama to interfere on this humanitarian issue asking the Iraqi government to immediately release the concerned residents of Ashraf and task your Special Representative in Iraq, Mr. Ad Melkert to make every effort on your behalf to prevent another attack against resident of Ashraf by engaging the USA and international community.”,Dr. Raj Baldev concluded.
