Thousands of Iranian-Americans, supporters rally near United Nations

NEW YORK – Star Tribune – Sept. 28, 2015 — Iranian protesters and their
American supporters were demanding change in Iran.
Thousands gathered Monday near the United Nations, where Iranian regime president spoke.
Protesters said more than 2,000 people have been executed in the past two years.
This year, a key issue is the Iran deal just approved by Congress that would lift economic sanctions in return for restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program.
A former U.S. ambassador to the U.N., Bill Richardson, also spoke at the rally.
The rally was organized by the Organization of Iranian-American Communities and the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
