
During the third sit-in day of Iranians and supporters of the Iranian resistance outside UN headquarters in New York, a lawyer from New York and three progressive priests from the US and Britain delivered their speeches and expressed their solidarity with the participants in the sit-in. Several messages in support of Ashraf residents from the Iranian youth and Iranian societies residing in the US were read in the gathering.
Frank McCoyd, the progressive lawyer from New York, said in his speech: “With the support of people across the globe and the new wave of their support from Ashraf, protection of Ashraf will ultimately be obtained; the UN listens to you, but they listen to you to the extent you reach your voice to them.”
Mrs. Cassandra Battle, priest from Brooklyn religious center, said in a short speech: I, as a religious black woman and human rights activist, declare my support for the struggle of the opposition, residing in Camp Ashraf, and I ask God to bring success to you in this hard path and struggle.”
