
According to Swiss News Agency (its), the Greens parliamentary group in Swiss Parliament supported the families of Ashraf residents in Geneva sit-in and asked the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to intervene for protection of those who are exposed to be expelled from Iraq.
In a letter to Jakob Kellenberger, ICRC President, the chairman of the Greens parliamentary group in Swiss Parliament, Thérèse Frösch, wrote: Greens parliamentary group in Swiss Parliament announces that it is very concerned of the Iranian refugees’ condition in the Ashraf City. Based on the International Humanitarian Law, Ashraf residents, neither could be extradited to Iran, nor expelled from Iraq, and nor replaced inside Iraqi territory. In order to provide protection of these people, we ask ICRC to do all measures that Ashraf region to remain under control of the Multi National Force.
