Swiss Federal MP called on Navi Pillay to save life of Jafar Kazemi

In a letter addressed to U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and Amnesty International’s Middle East Director Malcolm Smart, Member of Switzerland’s Federal Parliament Luc Recordon expressed concern over the death sentence of Jafar Kazemi and called to save his life.
“I am deeply concerned about the life of Jafar Kazemi who has been sentenced to death by the mullahs’ judicial system, and I ask you to intervene in his benefit with all your powers,” wrote Mr. Luc Recordon. Recordon is a prominent lawyer in Switzerland.
Underscoring the fact that Jafar Kazemi has undergone torture and abuse in the Evin Prison to give a false confession, and the prison official’s sudden disconnection of the communications of the Ward 350 political prisoners facing execution, with their families, Mr. Luc Recordon requested urgent action to save the life of Jafar Kazemi and for the mullahs’ regime to respect human rights.
