Iraqi MP Ms. Shilar Aziz from the Kurdish coalition said stealing and plundering PMOI property inside or outside Iraq is illegal for the fact that Iraqi and international laws prohibits such measures, Al Babeliya TV reported.
She emphasized UN’s role in protecting PMOI’s property and preventing any such aggressions since the members of this organization are considered UN refugees.
Ms. Shilar Aziz also stressed the necessity to recognize Camp Liberty as a political refugee camp under UN responsibility to prevent any kind of foreign intervention and any incident in this regard because Liberty residents are members of the political opposition against the regime ruling Iran. This regime has strong economic relations with Iraq, she continued, adding preventing the entrance of journalists and reports to Liberty is a measure in violation of Iraq’s constitution.
