Iraqiya Coalition member Fattah al-Sheikh said assigning a special envoy for the case of Ashraf by the European Union will establish a fair solution to resolve the Iranian refugees’ crisis.
“If the EU special envoy for Ashraf comes to Iraq, this issue will be resolved in a fair and humanitarian manner,” al-Sheikh said during an interview with Iraq’s NINA news agency. “This is because he is of course an impartial individual having neither relations with Ashraf residents nor the Iraqi government. Also, he has no relations with the Iranian regime either.”
“Accepting this EU special envoy by Iraq’s government might actually be a binding issue,” this Iraqiya Coalition member added.
