Speakers asked US President to keep protection of Ashraf based on 4th Geneva Convention

The families of Ashraf residents and supporters of the Iranian Resistance from different US states and Canada held their ninety first day of sit-in in sub-zero temperature outside of the White House. In this sit-in Moslem Eskandar Filabi, chairman of the Sport Committee of the NCRI said: “We have gathered here to tell the White House to respect the human rights laws written in 1907 and 1949. One of these laws is the Fourth Geneva Convention. According to this law the United States is responsible for the lives of all single residents of Ashraf under current situation in Iraq. We ask the White House to guarantee continuing protection of Ashraf based on the law.”

The solidarity message of the Iranian community residing in New York was read out. The message read: “On behalf of the Iranian Community of New York we ask the United States President to guarantee continuance protection of Ashraf based on SOFA pact until 2011.”

Then the sit-in participants, while chanting slogans, rallied under severe rain and presented their indefatigable wills concerning Ashraf protection and in support of Ashraf residents.
