Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, in a conference in Paris said 10 months after the sham elections, nuclear talks and claims of moderation have divided and paralyzed Iran’s ruling dictatorship, Spain News Network (EPE) reported on April 12th. To prevent any rift in the crackdown, the regime has increased its human rights violations during this period because any cracks will lead to widespread social reactions.
Head of the Iranian opposition called on the West to condition its relations with Tehran to the human rights situation and specifically ending executions, torture, crackdown and respecting freedom of speech.
“End the policy of appeasement and providing concessions to the Iranian regime”, Rajavi said, adding “nuclear talks must not lead to neglecting the regime’s crimes against the people”.
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani who attended this event delivered a speech against the Iranian regime. Giuliani called for the complete stoppage of Iran’s nuclear program, ending this regime and paving the path for the ‘democratic’ alternative, the National Council of Resistance of Iran.
