
Al-Jazeera Television reporting live from Paris on Sunday covering the solidarity march against terrorism interviewed a delegation from the National Council of the Resistance of Iran, NCRI.
Al-Jazeera talking to Ms. Dowlat Nowroozi, NCRI representative in Britain who has travelled to Paris to join the demonstration said you are from the Iranian opposition. Why have you come here today?
Ms. Dowlat Nowroozi replied: “We are here from Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s movement to express our sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims of this very brutal terror. We are here to strongly condemn this terrorist action and say, it has nothing to do with Islam definitely. The essence of Islam is for passion, love, humanity and justice. It is not for what has happened in Paris in past few days. This is a crime against humanity, this is a terrorist operation. We think it is time to stop misuse and abuse of Islam by fundamentalists, especially the heart of it, that beats in Tehran, the ruling theocratic regime in Iran.”
Al-Jazeera: How are you practically trying to achieve your massage on the ground in France? What are you doing? Are you talking to other communities?
Ms. Dowlat Nowroozi: “Yes! Absolutely, through communities, associations, members of parliaments, the media, it is essential for them to share our experience for 35 years of being prime victim of repression and fundamentalism by mullahs’ regime in Iran.”
Aljazeera: Talk to me a little bid about the importance of freedom of expression, because this is what this demonstration is all about. You have obviously; I would guess of having experienced some restriction on that front. How important is it to you?
Ms. Dowlat Nowroozi: “It is the fundamental essential right of every human being. And what we are saying is that the true face of Islam is absolutely for democracy, for humanity, for women’s equal rights, for passion. It is not for revenge. It is not for terror…
