Sit-ins in Geneva and New York continue their support for Ashraf residents; day 77 in Geneva and day 60 in New York

On the 77th day of Geneva sit-in, sons of Abdol-Reza Rajabi, who was killed under torture by the Iranian regime’s henchmen at Gohardasht Prison on October 28, 2008, called the participants in the sit-in from Ashraf by phone and appreciated their persistence in defense of Ashraf.

Then the Air Force pilots Colonel Behzad Moezzi and Major Hossein Eskandarian, members of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), delivered their speeches.

Colonel Moezzi said: “The clerical regime tries to eliminate Ashraf City, but the Resistance will overcome its conspiracies, and you will continue this sit-in until the Ashraf protection is guaranteed.”

Major Eskandarian said:” It is 30 years that The Iranian Resistance has spared nothing for the past 30 years to let the outcry of the oppressed Iranian people be heard by the world, and that is why the regime is afraid so much of them and asks for elimination of the PMOI at any negotiation table.

The sit-in in New York continued for the sixtieth day. In this gathering the messages of Iranians’ Communities in Texas and North California was read in which they emphasized that the Ashraf residents are protected persons under the Fourth Geneva Convention and the US forces must continue to protect them.
