Sedighe Akbari Monfared, sister of political prisoners Reza Akbari Monfared of the inmates viciously attacked by mullahs’ henchmen in ward 350 of Tehran’s Evin Prison on April 17th, in an interview said her brother had been beaten and the Iranian regime will resort to attacking inmates when it doesn’t execute or conduct crackdown.
“My brother has been in this criminal regime’s prisons for years under unknown reasons. Of course, in this regime any cry for freedom is a crime and it is natural for freedom lovers to be in prison. A crime that is actually a source of pride…The brave prisoners when attacked were chanting “Death to Dictator” and this attack had lasted for five hours…Although the regime’s goal was to create a climate of fear, however the students and family members of these political prisoners are standing alongside their loved ones and supporting them by chanting “Death to Dictator”. Thus, this regime that is facing a serious dead-end will do anything to reverse the results.”
