
Mash’an al-Saadi, a senior Iraqiya Coalition figure demanded an immediate end to the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq and the siege imposed on Ashraf residents.
“The Iranian regime is attempting to eliminate any person standing in its path, especially Ashraf residents who have risen against this regime’s brutality,” al-Saadi said in a press statement.
“The Iraqi people stress on the necessity of immediately lifting the siege on Ashraf because they are considered refugees and protected under international laws.”
Al-Saadi also condemned the assassination of renowned Iraqi journalist Hadi al-Mehdi, stressing on having the Iranian regime stop its influences in Iraq. Demonstrations will continue and they will not be stopped, he said, adding Maliki’s government has brought nothing for the Iraqi people but crisis. Therefore, the Iraqi people demand this government to be set aside.
