OfficialWire , London, 6 Oct 2011 – Loudspeakers are used to torture the residents. Some 3,400 people living in Camp Ashraf are under daily psychological torture and are on the verge of facing another massacre by the orders of the mullahs in Iran. Following the demand made by Iran’s supreme leader, the Maliki administration has announced that it intends to close the camp by the end of 2011. At a time when a guaranteed alternative has not been proposed to the camp residents, this ultimatum only lays the ground work for Maliki to perpetrate another massacre in Camp Ashraf, which is bound to be greater in scale and bloodier than the previous one. The last massacre took place only 6 months ago on April 8th. In the early hours of the morning, the Iraqi army attacked the camp’s unarmed civilians when most of the residents were asleep. 36 persons were killed and more than 400 were badly injured. Unbelievably, yet witnessed by real films taken of the event, many were deliberately run over by military vehicles. As it happens to be the case, Tehran has officially demanded Maliki to close down Camp Ashraf and have its residents extradited to Iran or massacred. They need their opposition to be dismantled and the minds are therefore set on carrying out another massacre. Meanwhile, the siege against the 3,400 residents continues. To make the conditions even more difficult, some 300 loudspeakers – placed in and around the camp- are blaring profanity and threatening the residents around the clock. A torturing tactic that reminds one of the atrocities committed in the psychological tortures prevalent in Nazi concentrations camps. Camp Ashraf is also inhabited by 1,000 Muslim women who are the prime target of Maliki’s suppressive forces and the terrorists in Iranian regime’s Qods force. The threats against the women in the camp have been more petrifying. The attacking forces have given themselves a green card for their atrocities by pointing to the fact that the MEK-Tehran’s Opposition- is in the US terrorist list; a matter which has been allowed to continue despite the fact that it has been questioned by the majority in the US congress. The legal systems in EU and UK have found the terrorist designation unfounded and baseless. In the United States, the Court of Appeals of District of Columbia has also asked the State department to review the designation as there is really no basis for the terrorist label. And even more, the naming is being used by the mullahs in Tehran to carry out mass killing of their opponents. This should certainly not be allowed and it is therefore time for the Secretary of State to speed up the decision which is already long due and delist MEK. Delaying the decision will take us to expect the massacre of 3400 innocent people. This would be a shame, which could never be forgotten by the history. Secretary Clinton, can certainly step forward and stop this and show how she believes that all the people in the world have the right to oppose tyrants?
