
In the second week of Geneva sit-in of the freedom loving Iranian and the families of PMOI members residing in Ashraf City, the protestors and speakers, while condemning the Iranian regime’s conspiracies, asked the international bodies to emphasize Ashraf residents ’ rights and to guarantee their protection by the Multi National Force and the US.
The speakers in the sit-in were:

Mrs. Liliane Maury-Pasquier. Joint chairwoman of Swiss Socialist women
Mrs. Zinat Mirhashemi, Member of the National Council o Resistance of Iran
Baroness Verma, Member of British House of Lords
Baroness Verma, who had come to Geneva on behalf of British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom to participate in the sit-in, met with Ashraf residents’ families. In her speech, she said: “Wherever the Iranian officials go, their first request from their counterparts is expulsion of Ashraf residents from Iraq. Whereas the Iraqis support the PMOI; in their declaration, 5,2 million Iraqis have demanded the presence of the PMOI in Ashraf in Iraq and the protection of Ashraf.”
Baroness Verma added: I want to assure you that my friends and I in Britain’s both Houses support your desire for the protection of Ashraf not to be transferred. We ask UN High Commissionaire for Refugees and UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, for Ashraf protection, Ashraf is in our hearts and I hope your sit-in will bear fruit soon, we are always standing by you.
