Supporters of the Iranian Resistance staged a sit-in protest outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in London. Ashraf residents’ families and supporters of the Resistance participated in this sit-in, lending their support for the Iranian people’s uprising and chanting slogans expressing their hatred of the Iranian regime. Iranians at this sit-in showed their support for all the Iranian people inside the country, especially the women and youth. The participants also called on the international community to condemn the mullahs’ regime and the UK government to close down the Iranian regime’s embassy, calling it the mullahs’ center of espionage in the middle of London.
Welcoming this act, Iranians continued their sit-in until nightfall. Mr. Massoud Zabeti, jurist and president of the Iranian-British Lawyers’ Society delivered a speech at this sit-in. Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Resistance at this sit-in also commemorated the recent martyrs of the uprisings in Iran Sane Jale and Mohammad Mokhtari, and PMOI martyrs Ali Saremi, Jafar Kazemi and Mohammad Ali Haj Aqaii.
