Protest Gathering in DC on World Day Against Death Penalty

On the brink of the World Day Against the Death Penalty, supporters of the Iranian Resistance staged a protest gathering outside the White House on Saturday and objected the barbaric executions of the oppressive regime ruling Iran.
A huge placard wrote: “No to execution and torture in Iran”. In this gathering a symbolic performance of an execution of political prisoners under the Mullahs’ rule was carried out.
A photo exhibit of political prisoners executed after the recent uprisings in Iran, martyrs of the April 8th attack against Camp Ashraf and scenes of barbaric executions in Iran attracted the attention of bystanders, who expressed solidarity with the protesters.
The protesters chanted “We condemn execution and torture in Iran”, “No to dictators, from Syria to Iran”, “Down with Khamenei, down with Ahmadinejad”.
Through chanting “Provide protection for Camp Ashraf” and “We condemn the Camp Ashraf siege”, they expressed their support for the Ashraf residents.
