In protest against Ahmadinejad’s trip to Italy, a press conference was held by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Adriano Hotel in Rome, Italy, in which Italian political and human rights personalities and a delegation from the NCRI participated.
The participants underscored the disgust of public opinion and the political community of Italy, and asked the international community to take a firm policy against the mullahs’ dictatorship and to isolate and sanction the Iranian regime.
The personalities who spoke in this press conference were:
· Antonio Stango, Secretary General of Helsinki Association and an official of the Italy’s Radical Party
· Reza Olia, artist and Statuary, member of the NCRI
· Abolqasem Rezaii, representative of the NCRI in Italy
· Forlani, Former Italian MP from Christian Democratic Party
· Mario Lana, chairman of Italian Bar Association
· Senator Gostavo Selva from Italy’s People’s Party and former head of Foreign Relation’s Committee in Italy’s Parliament
· Aldo Forbice, prominent Italian reporter and director of Radio Zaping
· Farideh Karimi, member of the NCRI
· Ram Mitziti, Italian MP from Italy’s values Party
Senator Gostavo Selva said: Ahmadinejad is a threat to the world, exactly like Hitler; unfortunately the economic standards have been more important than humanitarian standards.
