· This terrorist crime led to the killing of an Iraqi worker and the injury of 6 others.
· Hadi al-Ameri, the commander of the Badr Corps, affiliated to the Qods force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), has been stationed in Iraqi town of Khalis ( 30 kms away from Ashraf) to conduct and organize terrorist measures against Ashraf,
· The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran holds Hadi al-Ameri accountable for this crime and calls the MNF-I to disband this terrorist organization, and to prosecute and arrest its criminal commanders.
At 8:15 a.m. today, Sunday November 25, 2007, the terrorists affiliated to the mullahs ruling Iran attacked the vehicle carrying the Iraqi workers of Ashraf in a side road, 15 km west of the city of Ashraf which led to the killing of a worker by the name of Aamer Muhammed Hilal and the injury of 6 other workers.
Immediately after this terrorist attack, the local inhabitants and the police transferred the casualties to the Ashraf hospital. The local police experts that have the area under their control assert that the type of bomb used in this operation is the same as projectile bombs that are manufactured by the Iranian regime’s military industries under the supervision of the IRGC and are sent to Iraq.
It should be mentioned that 36 hours prior to this incident, the al-Rafedain Iraqi T.V. had informed that ’Hadi al-Ameri, the commander of the Badr Corps affiliated to the IRGC, has asked for expulsion of the PMOI from Iraq.’ Simultaneously, al-Furat T.V. affiliated with the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) also reported that Hadi al-Ameri is in Khalis, 30 km away from Ashraf.’ (al-Furat, November 23, 2007)
According to reliable intelligence, Hadi al-Ameri who previously had been involved in organizing terrorist operations against the PMOI in Iraq including the abduction of the PMOI members, Messers Hossein Pouyan and Mohammad Ali Zahedi in Baghdad (summer 2005), has held meetings in Khalis during recent days with a number of Iranian regime’s agents, who have infiltrated in security and military organs of Diyala province, for coordinating and organizing terrorist measures against the PMOI.
Setting off bombs and murder of Iraqi workers employed in Ashraf by projectile bombs had similarly occurred in summer 2006 by terrorists affiliated to the Iranian regime which led to the killing of 11 Iraqi workers at the time.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran holds Hadi al-Ameri, the commander of the Badr Corps affiliated to the Qods Force of the IRGC, accountable for such crimes and calls the MNF-I for immediate dissolution of this terrorist force and the prosecution and arrest of its commanders.
