Al-Hurra TV, 3 Oct 2012 – Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Mutlak described the US State Department decision to remove the name of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran from the terrorist list as the awakening of American conscience.
“Placing the PMOI in the terrorist list was fundamentally due to deals and interests, with this organization being the victim,” Mutlak said.
Iranian refugees who have recently been transferred from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty have the right to movement, he added, based on the fact that he described them as Iraq’s guests.
The US State Department on September 28th decided to delist the PMOI from the list of terrorist organizations.
