Sarmad Abdol-Karim, Director of the Iraqi News Agency stressed the PMOI are in the frontline against the Iranian regime’s interferences in Iraq.
“The truth is, this is not just the Iranian regime’s interference in Iraq, it is a complete invasion of Iraq by the Iranian regime,” he said in an interview with al-Tagheer TV. “We must not forget that the PMOI that are currently present in Camp Ashraf, represent the frontline that the Iranian regime seeks to get relieved of at any price, because today they are the true obstacle facing the Iranian regime. As a result, Khamenei believes – of course he is wrong – that annihilating the PMOI will solve his problem. However, the truth is Camp Ashraf today represents a much larger picture of a frontline for the defense of the region’s interests, and in the first step defending the interest of Iran and the Iranian people.”
Regarding the lies expressed by the Iranian regime and its Iraqi proxies about Ashraf residents he said, “I want to emphasize that there is no Ashraf resident that wants to return to Iran. This is the will of Khamenei’s regime to annihilate Ashraf. However, neither Khamenei, the National Alliance, nor Qassem Suleimani will be able to annihilate Ashraf.”
