Al-Seyassah daily (Kuwait), 13 Oct 2012 – There is no doubt the US government measure of removing the name of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran from the list of terrorist organizations was a political step very much forward-headed in the path of preparing and procuring the field in Iran to bring about a new situation. This is demonstrated in the revival of resistance and pursuant effort of democratic forces, being freedom of dictatorship and autocracy and playing with national wealth and interests and future of the Iranian people. All of this is after the people have been engulfed in the results of ambitious measures that have had no results but further destruction that threaten Iran’s very existence. The Iranian regime has always been the main source of all crises in this region because it is a regime overwhelmed in crisis. It lives only through further crises, and it only breathes its oxygen through wars, disaster and threats; just as it is shamelessly and in a bloody manner attempting to lead the Syrian people’s revolution to a defeat and failure. One of its most dangerous measures is challenging the will of free nations by attacking their rights in deciding their own destinies. The PMOI, which became aware of this theocratic regime’s threats through its sacrifices, has experience, an organized structure and understanding of the affairs of the Iranian people. This gives this organization the qualification to be the practical and effective element in relations to the issue of change towards improving the conditions and neutralizing the fuse behind the explosive and inflammable situation in the region. The Iranian regime, through tis misleading propaganda, has attempted to tarnish and destroy PMOI’s role and sacrifices; the same PMOI that entered a war to defend itself against a regime of terrorists. Tehran goes too far in resorting to violence against its enemies and has no respect for humanitarian or religious laws.
The PMOI showed patience for many years and resisted against this regime and global attacks resulting from misunderstandings; attacks that led to terrorist designations despite its continuous efforts to build a free and peaceful Iran and bring about peace and cooperation in the region instead of war and destruction. The members of this organization faced cruelty and dangerous measures and suspicious attacks, including misnaming their positions and attempting to harass and even annihilate them. The same measures were taken by the government of Iranian parties in Iraq, yet God will have his will.
The PMOI enjoys vast support inside Iran and has created important rifts inside the regime’s security apparatus. It was this organization that powerfully mobilized people in the streets during the 2009 Tehran Spring uprising. Today, it is preparing its supporters and preparing the path to ignite a tremendous popular uprising to once again draw Iran’s political map according to the new international and regional events. This movement has the ability to gather people and field activities that makes it able to mobilize even the most stagnant conditions.
Today, the theocratic fascist dictatorship in Iran is breathing its last breaths and the PMOI has an appointment with history to correct the path and remain loyal to its oath with its martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom and to uproot fascism. Today, fear has engulfed all factions of the regime because they know the capability of those struggling against them.
The PMOI have traced the main indicators in the road to freedom. Thus, another popular uprising and continuing it until the overthrow of this repressive regime and establishing a democratic alternative is the same path of resistance that Iran’s democratic opposition is following to save the Iranian people, and the people of the region in general.
This is a desperate regime that has no other path but to crackdown, destroy and export chaos and crimes. The PMOI has a sacred appointment with freedom. The freedom that will be achieved through the toppling of those behind the sedition and destruction, and establishing an Iran based on peace and democracy.
