The Arab Counsel in Defense of Ashraf issued a statement regarding Ashraf residents’ demands before the transfer of any further convoys to Liberty.
This statement goes in part, “In one voice with the International Committee ‘In Search of Justice’ and by confirming the requests and necessities stated in this committee’s statement on the minimum humanitarian demands for Camp Liberty, we call on all parliaments, international and human rights organizations, and Arab and Iraqi jurists to rise in support of these minimum demands.
The Arab Counsel in Defense of Ashraf calls on the US government and UN to act based on their obligations, and demand from the Iraqi government that if it is not adhering to the orders and requests of the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran and has no foul purpose or conspiracy in mind, it must provide an adequate response to these minimum requests.
The Arab Counsel in Defense of Ashraf considers the conditioning of PMOI’s delisting to the evacuation of Ashraf, and pressuring the residents to give in to this forcible relocation, as a hideous, illogical and cruel measure and seriously condemns this issue.”
