Paris: PMOI celebrate after State Department revokes terror listing

Middle East News Agency (Egypt), Paris, 30 Sep 2012 – The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran staged a huge celebration Saturday at its base located in Paris suburbs, rejoicing the removal of this organization from the US list of terrorist organizations.
“The decision made by the US State Department on Friday was the victory of justice and the law against injustice and demonizing measures, a historic pride for all Iranian people and the biggest defeat for the velayat-e faqih regime in its face-off against the Iranian people and resistance during the past three decades” said NCRI President Maryam Rajavi while delivering a speech at these celebrations before nearly 1,000 members of this organization.
“Now is the time for a policy change. We call on the global community to respect the Iranian people’s demand for regime change, adapt their policy and recognize the Iranian people’s resistance for freedom and democracy,” the NCRI President added.
She emphasized her organization seeks a republic based on the people’s will and vote in a free election, separation of church and stage, equality amongst men and women, revoking capital punishment, and returning the rights of nationalities under cruelty, equal economic opportunities, a fair and independent judicial system and a non-nuclear Iran.
“We will struggle to achieve all of these goals,” she said.
