Letter of Judge Taiseer al-Tamimi on behalf of Islamic-Arabic committee in defense of Ashraf to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon
Mr. Secretary General,
We, in Islamic-Arabic committee in defense of Ashraf, strongly condemn visit of your special representative, Martin Kobler, from Tehran in case that it relates in any way to the issue of Ashraf and Camp Liberty residents and we see that as a measure against peaceful solution for the issue of Ashraf. This measure opens the hands of the Iranian regime and its proxy government in Iraq to commit more crimes against the residents and questions the UN impartial role in this matter.
Instead of condemning antihuman Iraqi government’s measures against the residents of the camp and denounce its breaches of commitments and agreements that has made with the special representative, Mr. Kobler has admired the Iranian regime and its meddling in Iraq, a matter that take him away from impartiality as Secretary General’s envoy.
Therefore, I ask you to prevent him from playing any role that damages the UN from realization of security, peace, defending human rights and implementing international human rights.
