Over 1,000 tribal sheikhs from all over Iraq, in a letter to US Secretary of Defense, asked for the eviction of the Mullahs’ regime ruling Iran from Iraq, and underscored the role of the PMOI in disclosing the meddling of this regime in Iraq.
The letter of Iraqi tribal sheikhs partly reads:
’While governmental organs and institutions are under influence and domination of the Iranian regime and particularly its Quds Force, and are practically employed against Iraq, the tribes and their leaders were the ones who prevented the society from collapse and fall, and operated as an obstacle against terrorism and spread of sectarian sedition. This matter explains the reason for the Iranian regime’s hostility toward the patriotic sheikhs and its efforts to limit their role through regime’s agents in Iraq,
The letter also emphasizes that:
’The United States should not dedicate its political support for currents that represent the interests of the Iranian regime and its terrorist organs. The most important help to establish stability and democracy in Iraq and its people is to acknowledge ‘the need for change’ in favor of a democratic and non-sectarian alternative, and to end the rule of Iranian regime and its agents in Iraq after the just ‘terrorist designation’ of the Quds force and the IRGC,
The tribal sheikhs reffered to the vast rifts in the previous year elections in Iraq and stressed on the need for new parliamentarian elections and wrote:
’Today, the nature of those who won the majority by rigging in the elections, misuse of democratic mask, and by lying and deception under the cover of national reconciliations, that are used to cover the death squads’ atrocities, has been revealed to our people, and will no more deceive anybody; thus our people find the solution in new elections and in abrogation of previous ballot-rigging which has brought about the present disaster,
The tribal leaders of Iraq supported Iraqi nationalist forces and their uinty and reiterated in their letter
’The nationalist and democratic movements in Iraq have proved through their joint nationalist positions that they are able to form a national government.’
Iraqia Sumeria TV reported:
In a large press conference, representatives of the Iraqi National List, Iraqi National Dialogue Front, and the Conference of Ahal al-Iraq asked the US government to eliminate the Iranian regime’s influence in Iraq’s governmental organizations, Representatives of political and parliamentarian entities and tribal sheikhs discussed a series of present political problems in the country and talked over common points and the plan which was described by them as ’national’, and asked for unity of all sections of Iraqi society. However, the main reason that gathered all these personalities and representatives of the Iraqi National List, Iraqi National Dialogue Front, Iraqi National Dialogue Council headed by Khalaf al-Alian and Conference of Ahal al-Iraq, headed by Adnan al-Dulaimi here is Iran’s meddling. This issue was written in a letter by Baghdad’s tribal council to the US government for putting an end on Iran’s influence.
In this press meeting, Iraqi Sheikhs and political personalities stressed on the need for stopping the Iranian regime’s Quds Force in Iraq and on purging the security and governmental institutions from the Quds Forces’ agents. They also underlined and appreciated the positive role of the PMOI in exposing the Iranian regime and impeding its meddling in Iraq.
Zia’ al- Sheikhali, from National List: a thousand tribes and tribal sheikh and prominent figures from all over Iraq stressed that the Iranian regime and especially the Quds force affiliated to the IRGC have infiltrated in the governmental institutions and have control over them and use them against Iraq, whereas these tribes and their leaders are the ones who protect Iraq.
