In response to the call by Iranian Resistance President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi to support Iranian people’s uprising against the bloodthirsty velayat-e faqih dictatorship in Iran, freedom loving Iranians along with supporters of the PMOI and the Iranian Resistance and Ashraf residents’ family members held a demonstration outside the Iranian regime’s embassy in Ottawa.
The demonstrators called for the closing of the diplomatic mission of the mullahs’ illegitimate regime and support for the Iranian people’s demand for the complete overthrow of this regime.
Demonstrators tore pictures of mullahs’ Supreme Leader Khamenei, showing their solidarity with all the uprising people inside Iran.
In this demonstration, Mr. David Kilgore, co-chair of the Canadian Committee of Friends of a Democratic Iran, delivered a speech on behalf of the committee expressing his support for the Iranian people’s heroic uprising, calling on the Canadian Prime Minister to suspend its political, diplomatic and economic relations with the current Iranian regime until the suppression of the Iranian people is stopped. In another part of his speech, Mr. Kilgore demanded the expansion of sanctions, including banning Iranian officials’ trips.
