The number of hunger striking inmates in ward 350 of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison has reached over 40 inmates, recent reports indicate. This hunger strike is in protest to the vicious raid by Iranian regime authorities into this ward on Thursday, April 17th and the hunger strikers have said they will continue their protests until all injured inmates are returned, including those transferred to solitary confinement in ward 240.  Inmates returning from solitary confinement in ward 240 have said 14 political prisoners there are on hunger strike.
