The 46th day of New York sit-in of the Iranian Resistance supporters and the families of Ashraf residents was held outside UN headquarters in New York with the presence of Iranians from California, Georgia, Miami, New Jersey, and Maryland who joined the sit-in participants.

The first speaker was Mr. Mansour Lavaii, Zoroastrian member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). He said: “You, Ashraf residents, have done a very great job; we assure you that we won’t withhold any efforts to obtain your rights”. Addressing the UN Secretary General, Mr. Lavaii said: “We ask you not to hesitate for a moment regarding protection of Ashraf residents who are covered by the Fourth Geneva Convention, and prevent transfer of protection of our brave offspring”.

Then, the solidarity message of the Iranians residing in state of Georgia was read by the representative of the society.

The representative of the US Committee for Ashraf Residents, while appreciating presence of supporters of the Resistance in the sit-in, said: “Transferring protection of Ashraf residents is undoubtedly Tehran’s regime number one target; Khamenei and Ahmadinejad intend to eliminate it, we won’t let the Iranian regime find access to our loved ones.

During the sit-in the visitors visited the exhibition of human rights violation in Iran and signed a petition addressing the UN Secretary General in this regard.
