Iran: Two other young protesters arrested in the uprising, killed under the torture

Iran Uprising – No. 49

Two other people arrested in the popular uprisings in Iran were killed by the torture of the henchmen of the Velayat-e faqih regime in Arak and Sanandaj.
Seyed Shahab Abtahi, a 20-year-old young man who was arrested in Arak two weeks ago, died under the torture of the henchmen. The tormentors left the martyr’s body 10 days after his arrest in front of his father’s house, while signs of the baton blows on his body were visible. Before him, another man arrested in the popular uprising in Iran, Vahid Heidari, a 22-year-old deprived street vendor, was martyred by baton blows. The police of Markazi Province alleged in a stupid lie that he had been arrested on charges of carrying drugs and committed suicide at the detention centre of police station 12 of Arak. The detainees of the uprising in Arak were first transferred to the central prison of Arak and then to the Basij garrison in the so-called resistance square. A number of detainees have been transferred to the Arak Intelligence Building, which is adjacent to the Bassij garrison. According to regime leaders, 396 people were arrested during the uprising in Arak and other cities of Markazi Province.
On Wednesday, January 17, Hossein Qaderi, 30, who was arrested in the Iranian people’s uprising in Sanandaj and was transferred to the quarantine of the central prison, died under torture. The torturers in their serial lies have declared this young prisoner a drug offender. This is so scandalous that even the prison authorities are not prepared to confirm the torturers’ claims. Sarou Ghahremani, 24, arrested on January 3, and Kianoush Zandi, a 26-year-old graduate from the University of Sanandaj, who disappeared since January 4, are among the other victims who died under torture in Sanandaj Prison.
Meanwhile, Hassan Torkashvand, a 23-year-old young man who was shot by direct firing of the repressive forces’ assassins in Karaj on December 30, died of his injuries in hospital. The intelligence agents of the regime did not give permission for his burial and funeral to the family of Hassan Torkashvand like other families of the martyrs of the uprising, and buried his body secretly.
Khamenei, thinks in vain that by brutally killing the best children of Iran, he can save its decayed regime from collapse. Iran’s rising young people, in solidarity with the families of the martyrs and the detainees, and with unity and strong determination, keep the flames of the uprising, and will not rest until freeing Iran from the ruling religious tyranny.
Killing under torture in prison is unquestionably an example of crime against humanity. The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Security Council and the member states, and on all international human rights advocates to take decisive measures against these crimes and calls on the High Commissioner for Human Rights to immediately dispatch a fact-finding mission to investigate the situation of prisons and unconditional release of recent detainees.
