Iran: Seven prisoners executed in Karaj and Hamadan

On Wednesday, September 10, the anti-human mullahs’ regime hanged seven prisoners in the cities of Karaj and Hamadan. Two prisoners, 22 and 24 years old, were hanged in Resalat District of Hamadan city (IRIB News – September 10)
Five other prisoners, including two brothers by the names of Saman and Ehsan Khosravi, 21 and 30 years old, were executed in the Ghezel Hessar Prison of Karaj. Most of the executed prisoners were young and had been arrested only once.
Concurrent with the wave of executions in prisons and the streets of various cities, the vicious punishments such as cutting off the fingers continues. Last week, regime’s former General Prosecutor of Esfahan Province Mohammadreza Habeibei said: “In the past year, five cases of cutting off the fingers of thieves with a long record of thievery have been carried out in the prison as a Sharia punishment, but did not receive coverage in the media due to outside enemies.”
Paying tribute to the regime’s judiciary henchmen for pursuing armed robberies, he noted the execution of “two of the ringleaders of a Mohareb group” in Esfahan Province where “the father of one was a Monafeq (term used by the regime for members of PMOI)”. He added: “They were robbing gold shops throughout Iran.” (ISNA state news agency – September 7)
The execution of political prisoners who are portrayed as ordinary culprits and narcotics smugglers is a well-known method used by the religious fascism ruling Iran.
Executing and cutting off the fingers of young Iranians under the pretense of thievery is ongoing while all the corruptions and plundering are perpetrated by the supreme leader Khamenei and the Revolutionary Guards and the biggest thieves are plundering the property of the Iranian people in complete impunity.
On September 5, Amir Abbas Soltani, member of regime’s parliament investigation committee, disclosed that the regime’s judiciary has done no “serious job” about Babak Zanjani’s file and that the property of Zanjani abroad dwarfs by far the sum that he owes [has stolen]. He added “Babak Zanjani has easily deceived everyone”. Soltani said: “For the time being the dossier of Mr. Zanjani is not moving and there has been no progress. It is amazing how someone with 12 files against him concerning financial charges, another 15 complaints, and a forged birth certificate is allowed to participate in oil discussions (trade).” (Asr Iran Website)
This plunderer of Iranian people’s wealth who has played an important role in circumventing sanctions and money laundering for Khamenei’s faction calls himself an “Economic Basiji” who obeys the system’s Supreme Leader. Zanjani has confessed that “there was a group that supported him and that he is just the showcase of this powerful group”. (IRNA state news agency – 8 April 2014)
