Iran: brutal attack of suppressive forces against political prisoners at ward 350 of Evin Prison

Iranian Resistance calls for condemnation of mullahs’ regime and urgent international measure to stop growing suppression of political prisoners

On Thursday, January 17, a gang of anti-riot agents and suppressive elements from the so-called Evin prison security attacked ward of political prisoners in a preplanned raid. With their brutal behavior and searching the body of prisoners in an insulting manner, they inspected the ward and prisoners’ belongings thoroughly and gathered and took their booklets and notes with them.
The prisoners vowed slogans “Death to Dictator” and “Death to oppressor, either Shah, or Supreme Leader” and sang the anthems of “Oh, Iran” and “The old school friend”,  and this way, they protested against that savage raid. Their protest led to a conflict between prisoners and regime’s suppressive agents. A number of prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement cells and their situation is unknown.
This raid was carried out after intensification of pressures on prisoners such as fabricating baseless files, banning prisoners from visiting their relatives, depriving them from medical care, forcing them to put on prison uniforms when going to hospitals and medical centers, etc.
Iranian Resistance calls on all international authorities and human rights organizations to condemn brutal attack of regime’s repressive forces against political prisoners at ward 350 of Evin Prison. It also asks for a delegation to be dispatched to investigate the horrible situation of political prisoners, and urges for an urgent international measure to stop growing repression against them.
