Four executions in Orumiyeh and families’ protests

In the early morning hours on Monday, April 20, four prisoners were hanged in Orumiyeh prison. These four prisoners had been transferred to prison’s quarantine a day prior to the implementation of the sentences. The families of these prisoners assembled in front of Orumiyeh Prison since Sunday afternoon, April 19, once they heard of the possibility of execution of their relatives.
The clerical regime attacked the families to prevent the gathering that led to a clash with the families and the breaking of the windows of the entrance doors to the prison by the protestors.
The religious fascism ruling Iran that is incapable of confronting the great number of its domestic and external crises whose noose around regime’s neck is further tightened by the day, has found no recourse but to carry out waves of executions in various cities.
