The clerical dictatorship has intensified pressures on the family of political prisoner Mashallah Haeri who also has close relatives in Ashraf.
According to reports received from inside Iran, Ms. Negar Haeri, the daughter of Mashallah Haeri, has been detained for some time and transferred to Varamin’s Gharchak Prison. Ms. Negar Haeri, with a master’s degree in international law, was arrested only for the ‘crime’ of having family members in Ashraf. After enduring harassment for some time, she was finally transferred to the women’s ward in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison.
Mashallah Haeri, the father of Negar Haeri, was a political prisoner of the 1980s and is currently held in Gohardasht Prison, west of Tehran.
