The Iranian regime’s state-run ISNA news agency published a report entitled “Camp Ashraf and the Mojahedin’s Future”, covering the mullahs’ hysteric campaign against the PMOI. In a debate between an agent of the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) and a member of the Revolutionary Guards’ 9 Badr Brigade, this report quotes the MOIS agent as saying: “I warn all our officials that the return of these people to the country will pose numerous threats.”
“This is an organization that when its leader was arrested for 2 nights, 10 people in 10 different countries around the world set themselves ablaze in public,” this report continued. “The return of these people inside Iran’s society is very dangerous.”
“After many of its members inside Iran committed ordinary crimes and finished their prison terms, the PMOI recruited them once again and brought them inside Camp Ashraf.”
“We fear that the members of this organization, either in Iraq or in any other country in the region, will be able to get involved in the political spectrum and this is a fundamental concern. They must disappear from the region.”
The MOIS agent added, “The forces and body of this organization definitely play a role. Most of the people arrested in the 2009 incidents were the same people coming from within this organization!”
