The Moroccan Human Rights Organization, with advisory ranking to the UN Economic and Social Council, issued a letter to the European Union chief and Arab League Secretary General expressing its concern regarding the inhumane pressures and restrictions imposed by the Iranian regime and its Iraqi proxies on Ashraf residents. This organization also called for the guarantee of protection for Ashraf residents.
In this letter, Moroccan Human Rights Organization President Amena Bou Aiyash sent this message to all related international bodies:
The Moroccan Human Rights Organization, as a non-government organization active in defending human rights and public interests with advisory ranking to the UN Economic and Social Council, expresses its concern regarding the conditions refugees are facing in Ashraf. We have received news regarding security forces measures that have led to around 175 Ashraf residents being injured.
Thousands are living in Camp Ashraf who are suffering from aggression against their lights to life and physical health, and substantive conditions such as conditions of nutrition and hygiene, and psychological status.
Therefore, the Moroccan Human Rights Organization demands immediate intervention for the below measures:
– Protection of thousands of refugees in Camp Ashraf, especially their rights for life and physical health
– Carrying out necessary measures in relation to the International Convention on Protecting Refugees, especially freedom of speech, non-displacement and meeting family members and relatives.
