On Sunday, freedom-seeking Iranians, families of Ashraf residents and supporters of the PMOI and Iranian Resistance gathered in Montreal’s Phillip Square and staged a demonstration in condemnation of Maliki’s forces’ brutal assault on Ashraf and the martyrdom of 34 Ashraf residents and the injury of another 300. While holding pictures of the martyrs the protesters chanted slogans calling for the US to assume the protection of Ashraf and for the occupying forces to leave Ashraf.
Mrs. Raymonde Folco, member of Canadian Parliament from Montreal, and Co-Chair of the Canadian Committee for a Democratic Iran, addressing Ashraf residents, Said: “Dear friends in Camp Ashraf, We wish you know that we think about you and your sacrifice here in Canada. We work hard to press on the Canadian and the U.S. governments to come in your help. We desire that you continue your struggle in the Camp as we do on your behalf in Canada.”
