Supporters of the Iranian Resistance,
Ashraf Friends,
Dear Friends of the Iranian Resistance in the United States,
I send my warmest greetings to each and every one of you, who at all times, whether under the heat of the sun or out in the cold, strive to awaken the conscience of others and to open eyes and ears through your fortitude and your passionate attendance.
Your gathering and protest manifests the uproar of dignity and conscience of the peoples of Iran and the United States.
This is a protest and a revolt against the policy of compromise with murderers and hostage takers.
Characterizing your cries and your protests are the breathing souls of 52 heroic members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq martyred in the epopee of Ashraf, a force that will never die.
Hail to all of you who resurrected Zohreh, Giti and all the other martyrs within yourselves and truly became 52 times stronger.
Hail to the heroic generation that as Massoud Rajavi, the Leader of the Iranian Resistance, said, “has written the most magnificent epic of perseverance in the 21st century in terms of substance and length of time, and has positioned itself at the summit of human dignity and contemporary history.”
There is no doubt in anybody’s mind that the massacre of the 52 residents of Ashraf and the hostage taking of seven others were carried out by the Iraqi government and with his cooperation. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the U.S. government to say why it is concealing this reality. Besides, when it welcomes this man at the highest level it implies that it is accepting to shoulder responsibility vis-a-vis his policies.
That is why we say, Mr. President, after your meeting with Maliki, your bear a greater amount of responsibility with respect to the fate of the hostages and the 3,000 members of the MEK residing at Liberty prison.
Demand from the Iraqi prime minister to release the hostages and to avoid obstructing the provision of protective and security requirements for Liberty. In the face of any such obstruction, cut off economic aid and weapons ties with Iraq.
You bear the responsibility to bring Maliki to account with respect to his commitments.
Since the beginning of this year, nearly 7,000 people have died in Iraq and close to 10,000 more have been wounded.
This situation in Iraq is the consequence of dictatorial rule of puppet goverment in that country.
Mullahs hanged 20 political prisoners this week.
Since the start of Hassan Rouhani’s presidency, 300 prisoners have been executed. It means each seven hours one execution. Is this the moderation that you are waiting for?
You should not assume that by overlooking the massacre and hostage-taking of Ashrafis by the Iraqi regime and by disregarding the daily human rights violations in Iran you can curtail the mullahs’ nuclear weapons program.
The mullahs seek to preserve the core and essence of their nuclear weapons program through some tactical accommodations and setting off new disputes.
We stand here to ask you to learn the lessons gleaned from history.
If you choose to continue on this path, then you will ultimately have both shame and disgrace as well as the appalling consequences brought on by the mullahs’ nuclear weapons.
Yes, in the end, you will have disgrace as well as a region consumed by flames and blood, which will endanger peace and security of the entire world.
Instead of walking on a misguided path, set foot on the path of firmness.
Intensify international sanctions against the Iranian regime.
Refer the mullahs’ dossier of human rights violations to the UN Security Council.
And, force them to accept unannounced UN inspections and shut down all their nuclear sites.
Hail to the hunger strikers in Liberty, Geneva, Berlin, Melbourne, London, and Ottawa, and hail to all the participants at protest movements and sit-ins around the world.
I invite all of you to increase your protests. The eyes of millions of Iranians have been focused on this struggle. And, this fight will ultimately end in victory.
Hail to freedom
Hail to the people of Iran
Hail to the MEK at Liberty and to the disciples of Ashraf across the world.
