Mazin Makkiya: Treatment with Ashraf residents must be humanitarian and in the international law framework

Mazin Makkiya, Secretary General of the Ansar al-Da’wa Organization, stressed that treatment with Ashraf residents must be a humanitarian behavior and in the framework of international law, Azzaman international Daily reported.
Mazin Makkiya said to Azzaman: “We are opposed to the government forces’ measures regarding banning humanitarian aids to Ashraf residents.” He expressed hope that the Iraqi government encounters this issue humanely and transparently and does not breach humanitarian law.”
Referring to the pressures and restrictions imposed on Ashraf, he said: “By these limitations we have violated human rights and have not respected our guest, no matter who he is; thus, our treatment must be humanitarian and within international law framework.
