Al Ahram daily (Egypt), 18 Nov 2012 – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran representing the Iranian Resistance, described the mass and arbitrary execution of at least 100 inmates from 22 October to 14 November, as a clear example of crime against humanity, and called on the international community, especially the UN Security Council and member states, UN Secretary General and High Commissioner for Human Rights and all international organizations advocating human rights to strongly condemn Iran and take urgent action to stop the bloodshed and crimes, and to prosecute Khamenei and other leaders of the regime as the perpetrators of three decades of torture, execution and killings in Iran.
“Hearing the news of atrocious mass executions in various cities across Iran, and the cruel murder of political prisoners such as Sattar Beheshti and Jamil Soveidi under brutal tortures, which is a small part of the mullahs’ regime’s record within recent days, pains the conscience of the contemporary humanity,” Mrs. Rajavi said.
Mrs. called on the Iranian people, especially the youths, to rise to their national and patriotic duty and protest at the atrocious executions and express solidarity with the family members of the Iranian regime’s victims.
By emphasizing that the lack of a decisive policy towards the anti-human regime ruling Iran and the continuation of economic deals and diplomatic relations with the mullahs’ regime will only fuel the mullahs’ torture, execution and terror machine and its nuclear weapons projects, Rajavi called on all countries of the world to stop aiding the bloodthirsty mullahs and cutoff all economic and political ties and support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom and democracy.
