UK Member of the European Parliament, Jim Nicholson has spoken in favor of last month’s visit to the European Parliament by the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.
Mr. Nicholson, who has supported freedom and democracy in Iran, said in a message that the human rights situation in Iran must not be overlooked.
in his remarks welcoming Mrs. Rajavi’s visit, Mr. Jim Nicholson said: “It was a great opportunity to welcome Maryam Rajavi back to the European Parliament. It was great to be able to see her there. She certainly brought a very clear message to the Parliament that we must not forget what’s presently happening in that particular part of the world and indeed nor must we forget the whole area of human rights.”
Members of the European Parliament have spoken out in support of human rights and democracy in Iran through support for the democratic opposition led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.
