Al-Rawad daily (Lebanon), 14 Oct 2013 – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called on the United Nations Security Council and Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and UN Secretary-General, European Union and US government to take urgent action to save the lives of Sunni death row political prisoners and their asked for their release.
She also called on Shiite and Sunni religious scholars in Iraq and other Islamic countries to rise and protest the increasing trend of executions in Iran, being in blatant contradictions with the teachings of Islam and its various branches.
