Kuwaiti daily: PMOI delisting in US biggest help to international peace and security

NCRI, 23 July 2010 – The Kuwaiti daily, al-Watan, wrote on Tuesday that the removal of the main Iranian opposition from the US terror list will serve as the biggest help to the Iranian people, the Iranian resistance movement, and international peace and security.
The daily added that the Iranian regime is the biggest threat to the Middle East in particular and the world in general, not only because of its nuclear weapons program but also for backing global terrorism.
Al-Watan said, “The Iranian regime is a medieval and murderous regime that rules under the banner of religion.”
Referring to the ruling of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia on July 16 against the terror tag against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), al-Watan added, “The US appellate court’s decision showed that the charge of terrorism against the PMOI was levied in the context of a wrong political deal and the policy of appeasement in order to curry favor with Tehran’s dictatorial regime.”
